As mayor of the City of Waukee I understand very well the importance of putting partisan politics aside in order to work for results for those who put their trust in their government officials. As a mayor I know that at the end of the day the citizens I represent want the job done, and done right.
As an elected official myself I have worked with both Democrats and Republicans to improve the lives of the people of Waukee. And so has our Congressman - Tom Latham.
Congressman Latham has done an excellent job representing the citizens of Waukee and Dallas County in Congress. He is a trusted leader that reaches across partisan lines to work with Democrats and Republicans to produce positive results for all Iowans on issues that impact all of us.
I have worked closely with Congressman Latham on a number of high priority projects important to Dallas County. Tom has been a significant help in securing federal support for transportation infrastructure essential to transportation safety and economic development. Tom's work on our behalf has strengthened the local economy and helped Waukee grow.
In my experience working with elected officials, I've found few who can match the accessibility and responsiveness of Congressman Tom Latham. He has been a tireless and successful advocate on various issues and projects that have improved the community we live in today.
Because Tom Latham is someone that I know I can trust to keep working on behalf of all Iowans - I am pleased to announce my support for Tom Latham on his re-election to the United States House of Representatives.
